Associate (GIS Developer)

J&M Global Solutions (J&M) is seeking a GIS Developer to work at a client site in Washington, DC (open to remote candidates as well). In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage innovative GIS solutions that strengthen the client’s spatial data capabilities.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with other developers, analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality GIS applications and services in a fast-paced environment. This role involves developing geospatial script tools and leveraging Python to automate geospatial products. Proficiency in managing ArcGIS enterprise, geodatabase management, and working with feature classes, geodatabases, geoJSON, and other APIs are required.

What the successful candidate will bring:

  • Bachelors and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of emergency management and/or public health is a plus
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Esri GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Dashboards, Experience Builder, Survey123) and spatial analysis techniques
  • Expert knowledge of programming languages (e.g., advanced Python, JavaScript) for GIS application development
  • Systems administration, application development, and extract transform load (ETL), process automation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple competing requirements
  • Individuals must be comfortable in a high-stress environment
  • Ability to problem solve and be resourceful
  • GISP preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to pass a standard background investigation

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
